Concert highlights include Handel’s Messiah with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra under Kevin Fitzgerald, Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy with the Boston Symphony under Andris Nelsons, Szymanowski’s Stabat Mater with the Broad Street Orchestra and Strauss’s Four Songs op. 27 with The Orchestra Now under Leon Botstein. Select favorite roles include Brunnhilde (Die Walkure, Siegfried), Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) and The New Prioress (Les dialogues des Carmelites). Paulina is an alumnus of the Tanglewood Music Center, the Meistersinger Program at Pittsburgh Festival Opera, Fall Island Vocal Arts Seminar and SongFest. Paulina was featured by Sparks and Wiry Cries on the 2022 songSLAM Festival, and recently reprised Anthony Cheung’s All thorn, but cousin to your rose, which she premiered at Tanglewood in 2017, with NYFOS Next at the Rubin Museum in NYC. She was a prize winner of the 2023 Opera Birmingham Competition. In August 2024, Paulina jumped in as the Contessa Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) with the Toronto Concert Orchestra at the Palais Royale, and was heard in December 2024 as the soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the Euterpe Ensemble in Rhinebeck, NY.
Paulina was a 2024 Des Moines Metro Opera Apprentice Artist, covering the role of Berta in Rossini’s Barber of Seville and study-covering the title role of Salome. While in Des Moines, she also performed excerpts of Der Rosenkavalier (Marschallin), Falstaff (Alice Ford) and Der Meistersinger (Eva) with the Des Moines Metro Opera Orchestra under Christopher Allen and Donald Lee III.
